Abundant sunshine, welcoming neighborhoods, and an array of activites are the official greeters to the Valley
Oh I’m packin’ my grip and I’m leaving’ today,
Cause I’m taking a trip California way
I’m gonna settle down and never more roam,
And make the San Fernando Valley my home.
-- from the 1944 song San Fernando Valley written by Gordon Jenkins

Welcome to the San Fernando Valley — from the world’s center for entertainment to the rich, cultural heritage of our ethnic neighborhoods, the San Fernando Valley mingles small town charm with big city lifestyles.

Boasting beautiful weather conditions year-round, the Valley enjoys an average daily temperature of 77.5 º F (25º C) and 329 days of sunshine, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

The Valley is also a hub to the entire state of California with the I 405 (San Diego Freeway); US 101 (Ventura Freeway); SR 170 (Hollywood Freeway); SR 118 (Ronald Regan Freeway); and I 5 (Golden State Freeway) all intersecting here. This makes the region a prime location for business, residents, and visitors.

The Valley, while in size, is equivalent to major cities across the nation, in actuality is a suburb of the City of Los Angeles and is home to 1.6 million residents within its 240 square miles. It provides a variety of shopping experiences from major malls to small boutiques; a wonderful artistic community featuring theatre, music and dance; as well as an array of restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
