2011 State Legislative Bill Status
This report focuses on San Fernando Valley legislators’ floor votes on bills that affect the business community of the Greater San Fernando Valley.
No vote record can tell the entire story of a legislator’s attitude and actions towards issues that are important to business. Each year, thousands of laws are proposed and voted on. To fully evaluate your representative, consult the legislator’s votes in committee and floor issues.
Due to the fact that many business-related bills never reach the floor of the legislature, and therefore do not ultimately affect the business community, the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce does not cover these.
When selecting which bills to consider, we have taken into consideration how the bill reflects the legislator’s attitude towards the business community, and fiscal responsibility.
